ABOUT GERALDINE BROOKS
As a coach, I’m guided by a simple but deep conviction formed by many years of personal and professional exploration: that each of us has an inner life worth paying close attention to.
From childhood I have been attracted to reading fairy tales, myths, and legends. I followed that early immersion in symbolic stories with undergraduate studies in art history and literature, and then graduate studies in counselling psychology. My current work as a coach, which is based on the value of reflective dialogue with clients, draws on the psychological knowledge and insight I have gained over many years, and also integrates depth-oriented perspectives informed by mythology, metaphysics, literature, lived experience, and the enduring human search for meaning and beauty across cultures.
I hold a Doctoral Degree in Counselling Psychology from the University of British Columbia and have pursued advanced training in Jungian and Transpersonal Psychology including a Certificate in Transpersonal Studies from the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology. I am also a Certified Practitioner of EDxTM (Energy Diagnostics and Treatment Methods).
I practised as a Registered Psychologist in British Columbia for 30 years, retiring in 2026. During that time, I was a faculty member at UBC and Vancouver Community College, worked as a Human Resources Consultant supporting corporate clients with recruitment and professional development, and developed and presented various workshops on personal growth and well-being. I have a special interest in working with individuals who are intellectually gifted and artistically talented

Awakening to Aphrodite’s Light: Love, Beauty and the Divine Feminine (Wonderwell Press 2025)
Awakening to Aphrodite’s Light draws on myths, history, literature, and personal experiences related to Aphrodite, the Greek Goddess of love and beauty, to examine how connecting with Divine Feminine consciousness can inspire and enhance psychological and spiritual transformation.
Book excerpt
Love and beauty are vital aspects of [Divine Feminine] energy. Love and beauty, consciously experienced and expressed, carry the power to elevate and heal us, both individually and collectively. It is time for us all to respond to Aphrodite’s invitation and share her life-affirming gifts with the world. … Throughout the [book], I give examples of personal reflections and practices that help facilitate emotional, psychological, and spiritual growth and healing through the honoring of Aphrodite. Both men and women will benefit from understanding how embodiment of her teachings can help them live in balanced, authentic, heart-centered, and joyful ways. The more we can all awaken to a fully conscious experience of Aphrodite and the Divine Feminine, the better we will be able to heal ourselves and our world and together create a new and beautiful earth for everyone.
